Inmate Court Schedule:

Court dates are as follows unless otherwise directed by the Judges.

Barren Co. District Court - Mondays & Fridays @ 1:30 p.m.
Barren Co. Circuit Court - Mondays or as scheduled
Barren Co. Family Court as DIRECTED
Barren Co. Drug Court as DIRECTED

Metcalfe - District Court - Wednesday @ 9:00 a.m.
Metcalfe - Circuit Court - Every 3rd Tuesday of month or as directed.

All Jury Trials/Special Cases for both Barren & Metcalfe Co. is directed by the courts.


 

Personal Recognizance - Your personal recognizance, provided that you promise to appear at all scheduled hearings, trials, or otherwise as required by the Court.

Unsecured Bond or Surety Bond - An unsecured appearance bond from you or your surety to be forfeited should you fail to appear as required by the Court.

Partially Secured Bond - Cash bail secured by cash deposit of 10% of the deposit (but no less than $5) will be retained if you are found guilty and the court determines you have performed the conditions of your release. The entire cash bond will be forfeited should you fail to appear as requested by the court.

All payments of bonds must be in cash with exact change. Bonds over $10,000.00 cash will have to be made in the Circuit Clerks office.

All persons bonding out of jail will be charged a $25.00 Admin/Booking fee, $5.00 jail bond fee, $4.00 court filing fee and $20.00 per day housing for Barren Co. Inmates and $25.00 per day housing for all other counties.

Weekenders - Anyone sentenced to serve weekends must pay all fees in full at time of booking. Pending on days sentenced will apply to fees.

Circuit Work Release - Fees will be paid weekly with no exceptions.

District Work Release - Arrangements needs to be made with the County Treasure Office.

All programs at Barren County Correction Center are structured to create an environment for positive change in the offender's life, so they can better serve the community as productive citizens when released.

GED - Classes to prepare and improve individuals for final testing to obtain their GED certificate.

ADO - Introduction to the ADO program.

AA/NA (Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics) - Taught by local volunteers

Religious Services - A variety of services are offered and taught by local churches.



 

Money can be dropped off at anytime and a receipt will be given.
